Escape From SF: The Redwood Treehouse

Escape From SF: The Redwood Treehouse

By

For this week’s Escape From SF, we headed to the Santa Cruz Mountains to nest inside the Redwood Treehouse, hidden in a forest just outside of Corralitos.

This delightful treehouse is equipped with a bed, small kitchen, TV, refrigerator, and full bath. There’s even a hot tub tucked into the hillside for maximum relaxation. The unique arboreal structure is accessible via a rope bridge. The interior of the treehouse, quaint with subdued hues, has trees actually growing right through the space. A wonderful blend of nature and comfy accommodations.

Corralitos, a sleepy agricultural town offers little (a few stores and a taqueria), but has a great country charm that forces you to slow down. Explore the central coast—both the beaches and small towns (see our guides to Monterey and Santa Cruz) are particularly noteworty—or spend the day hiking or cycling along nearby routes.

Reservations can be made at $125/night on either Airbnb or Glamping Hub.
