Inner Richmond: Covet Boutique Opens

By

You may have spotted the handmade adornments from San Francisco designer Adrienne Wiley’s vintage-inspired Frolick line and local designer Liza Anongchanya’s clean, classic Ofina Jewelry at Bay Area shopping events or on celebrities such as Mariah Carey (Frolick) and Mischa Barton (Ofina). Now you can peruse complete collections from both under one roof at their new Inner Richmond boutique Covet, whose lofted second level does double duty as a workspace for the designers and friends.

The shop’s retail-meets-studio set-up means patrons can not only chat with the designers while they shop, but they can also have pieces customized and altered on the spot.

“A lot of people might want something shortened, or either they might like something on a different chain or we might have something on the floor in gold, but we can also do it in silver. I think that’s an experience you can have at a festival or shopping event, but you don’t get that experience at a boutique,” says Wiley.

Other perks: custom bridal jewelry, private shopping events for girls’ nights and affordable price points ($20-$130) in tune with the times.

Tomorrow night, meet the designers and dig into locally-made jewelry, cupcakes, mini makeovers, goodie bags and a raffle as the Inner Richmond shop celebrates its grand opening.

Covet Boutique Grand Opening Party: Thu. 5-9 p.m. at Covet Boutique, 391 Arguello Blvd., 415-751-1158, www.covetsf.com.
