What: The Azalea anniversary party fashion show model contest

When: Entry deadline is Sept. 1; five winners will be announced Sept. 5 for their spot to model in the Sept. 19 show at Mezzanine, styled by Brandon Scott, designer of B. Son SF.

How: Submit two non-professional photos (a head shot and full body shot, name, phone number, and a short paragraph about why the boutique should choose you to strut in the store's fall fashion show) to contest@azaleasf.com

What: The Art Institutes of California Passion for Fashion Competition 2009

When: Entry deadline is Nov. 21 for all high school seniors in the U.S.

How: The competition consists of two categories, Fashion Design, and Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management. The grand prize in each category includes a full tuition scholarship to The Art Institute's school with a Fashion program at which the student entered the Competition. The Art Institute of California – San Francisco offers Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing programs.

In addition to a full tuition scholarship, the grand prize winning student in each category will receive an all-expense- paid trip to New York City for Fashion Week in February 2009, a “meet and greet” at Seventeen Magazine’s offices and lunch with a Seventeen Magazine style pro.
