Giveaway: The Best of Multiple Music Worlds at SF Symphony's Davies After Hours Party

By

At the San Francisco Symphony's Davies After Hours party, you can have the best of both worlds. On March 16, after refining your palate with the American Mavericks performance of Mason Bates’ new SFS commission, Mass Transmission, give a nod to SF's thriving electronic scene as Bates transforms the night into a bumping party as DJ Masonic, with his pals David Arend on upright bass, Aaron Kahn on trumpet and Gloria Justen on electric violin.

Guests can bask in the glory of Davies Symphony Hall, with its gorgeous open-air balconies and views of City Hall, and sip specialty cocktails at the after hours party's cash-only bar. This season, visual artwork on display during Davies After Hours will be curated in partnership with The Crucible in Oakland.

Want to win a pair of tickets to the March 16 event? Tell us your favorite thing about the SF Symphony in the comments below and we'll contact the winner!

Davies After Hours is free for all ticketholders to the following concerts in 2012. You can buy tickets to the entire night of performances here. And there's a lot more where this came from; on April 27, Susanna Mälkki conducts Prokofiev and Sibelius, followed by an After Hours performance by Beth Custer Ensemble. And on June 22, Michael Tilson Thomas conducts Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle, followed by the renowned Magik*Magik Orchestra! See the full schedule here.
