Heath Coming to Ferry Building

By

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes are coming to the Ferry Building this spring. Starting in March or April (we've heard conflicting reports) Heath Ceramics will finally be opening up shop this side of the bridge, taking a spot in the building where the Tsar Nicolai Caviar Café was before. The switch isn't without a bit of drama though, as there are reports Tsar Nicolai and other vendors won't be leaving of their own accord.

But this is about design, so here's what we know on that front: The space will be created by Commune, the clever team behind the incredibly cool Ace Hotel and Swim Club in Palm Springs and Heath's LA store, among other amazing projects (check out their portfolio for some serious inspiration). We're guessing the store will be very similar in style to Heath's LA digs, but given Commune's way with design, it will be exciting to see the transformation, nonetheless.

Speaking of Heath, this bud vase set is part of their seasonal collection, available only through April 2010. The shades of cocoa and red would look mighty fine for a Valentine's Day gift, and in that spirit, you can take 14% off the price by entering code gift14 before February 14th. Sure beats a box of Russell Stover!
