The San Francisco Bay Area's restaurants, bars and events teams know a thing or two about taking care of people. So when the calls for help came flooding in from those affected by the Northern California fires, our chefs and makers stepped up.

Here are some of the most delicious ways you can make an impact.

Sonoma Fire Benefit and Filipino Ice Cream Social @ Smitten Ice Cream

In honor of Filipino-American Heritage Month, all proceeds and donations collected from tonight's ice cream social will go to the Sonoma Fire Relief. A litany of seasonal flavors—like coconut caramel and salted maple—will be available for tasting. Complimentary wine is also included. NoLa for the North Bay

On Friday October 13th through Sunday, October 15th, Blue Bottle Coffee will donate $1 for every New Orleans Iced Coffee sold at any of its Bay Area cafes to the Redwood Credit Union's community fund for North Bay fire relief. Give What You Can Throughout the Week @ The Alembic

For this entire week, the generous folks at The Alembic will be both taking donations and later transporting them to the affected areas of Sonoma, Napa, Novato, and Mendocino. The following list below are supplies they've requested for specifically:

  • Food (preferably non-perishables and items that do not need to be refrigerated or heated)
  • Blankets
  • Clothing (underwear is often overlooked as an item of clothing needed by many)
  • Medical supplies (insulin, for example, is one of the most-requested medical needs during any given disaster
  • Pet food (for both domestic pets and livestock animals)

Dance and Donate @ Level 13 Ultra Lounge

Calling all DJs, vocalists, and all around hype men and women! Next Thursday, Level 13 Ultra Lounge's New Levelnight in Oakland will host an all-night dance party to benefit relief effort in the North Bay. Volunteers are needed to pull off this shindig. One Love Charity Yoga Event for Fire and Hurricane Refugees @ UC Berkeley

Shop and Save People's Livelihoods @ Heritage Eats
