Escape from SF: Bicycling to Montara Lighthouse Hostel
This past weekend, we escaped on bicycles for a 20-mile bike ride to the beautiful seaside town of Montara. While not much is there, and you're likely to miss it unless you're looking for it, it is home to the Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel. Steeped in the history of the area and the beauty of the coast, this little gem is a great way to escape the city and soak in the sea.
Make your reservations in advance, as the hostel fills up quickly. If you're looking for a quieter getaway, book one of the four private rooms that over look the ocean.
Enjoy the slideshow and check the link here to see the route we followed down on bikes.
