Art Opening at Rare Device
Rare Device has really been bringing it with their recent run of artists exhibiting in the shop. Rachel Denny's woodland creatures were divine, the work of Mark Warren Jacques left us elated, and Irana Douer's surreal line drawings stayed in our head for weeks. But with all due respect, we must admit we're most excited about the show that's going up tomorrow. Artist Christopher David Ryan is one of our faves at the moment, and perusing his year of daily images from 2008 is a great way to waste an hour... and end up pining for a 20 or more of his prints. Tomorrow is the opening reception of his new show at Rare Device, "Everything You Need Can Grow", and the release of the eponymous book featuring 38 illustrations from the exhibit. It's going down from 7 to 9 pm this Thursday, June 4th. For more information, click here.
