Craigslist Deal of the Week: $1500 Glen Park In-Law

By

After a blissful long weekend vacation, sometimes the return to S.F. can be a bit of a rude awakening. Come home from a relaxing wine country excursion to find yourself in the midst of a screaming match on Haight, and you wonder why it is you ever left that quiet, sunny vineyard at all. (Can you tell I'm speaking from personal experience?) Yeah, living in the city is the best, but sometimes city living gets old.

If you're longing for the peace and quiet of your Labor Day weekend this Tuesday, don't move to the 'burbs just yet. This week's Craigslist Deal in Glen Park offers that rare mix of being in the city proper without feeling like it one bit. Of course the park after which the area is named is right there for a dose of the great outdoors, but hop on BART or the J-Church and you're downtown in no time. And like any good city neighborhood, GP has a fabulous pizza place (Gialina), independent bookstore (Bird and Beckett), and gourmet grocery (Canyon Market) all within blocks of each other.

So get a little distance from the hustle at this renovated in-law. The gleaming kitchen and sharp bathroom are enough to take note, but with wireless internet and cable included, the $1500 price tag makes the apartment all the more sweet.  It's highly possible that the room pictured above is all there is in the way of a living room, but the only way to know for sure is if you stop by the open house this Thursday from 6 to 7 pm. Charming, Renovated 1 Bedroom
