Interior Decor (Complete with Elevator Headrush) at Icons for Design
Gigantic old Pac Heights estates are so 2007. These days, it's just not a designer showcase without acres of glass windows and views that will make your nose bleed. The latest high-rise to get the designer treatment? It's the Millennium Tower, which has opened up four residences on its 52nd floor to be reinvented by over 25 stellar local designers. The event, entitled Icons of Design, was put together by Ken Paige (of Paige Glass) in the unbelievable time span of just one month - that's from concept to completion in only four weeks. It puts our search for the perfect side table (it's been about a year and counting) into stark perspective, to say the least.
Icons of Design is going on every weekend from now through November 22nd, and is open 11AM to 7PM Saturday and 11AM to 5PM on Sunday. Tickets are available at the door for $25, with proceeds benefiting a different Bay Area charity every week. Find out more information, including directions and a list of participating designers, here.
