Just after the new year begins, you've got one more time to drink until the wine is gone and eat until there's no more to eat! On Friday, January 6th, we're happy to sponsor the NextGen Wine competition, which takes place in September 2012 and celebrates next generation (comprised of "millenials") wine makers and drinkers to help foster a new crop of wine enthusiasts.

And how are we getting this done? At 4:30 pm, come to North Beach's newest pop-up, the Chubby Noodle (located inside Amante) to indulge in the eatery's delicious Mexican and Peruvian-style ceviches and enjoy happy hour specials on gold medal winners from NextGen Wine Competition until they run out. It'll be quite the way to begin the weekend.

Some things to know about the awesome Chubby Noodle menu: it is created and executed by the Don Pisto's kitchen crew. They offer Asian and Mexican-inspired crudos, noodles, and bar bites, like fried chicken, a kimchi hot dog, and more, all for $11 or under. They operate out of Amante's kitchen five nights a week, from Tuesday through Saturday, and they're planning to even do deliveries to North Beach, the Marina, and Russian Hill.
