WHAT: The 12th annual San Francisco Drag King Contest, produced by DragStrip Productions, is the biggest and longest running drag king competition in the world and, according to the San Francisco Weekly, is "A parade of gender-bending eye candy."

2nd Annual Good Vibrations Amateur Erotica Film Competition
DEADLINE: Sept. 10, 2007
WHAT: Calling all amateur filmmakers. Have you ever wanted to make your own erotica film; or perhaps see an erotic film you’ve directed screened at a theater in front of audience of hundreds? Submit your film to our Amateur Erotica Film Competition, and you may end up a star.

NOTE: Even if you don’t submit your own film, you’ll still want to make sure to attend the screening of the winning films on Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Castro Theatre. Last year’s event was one of the best times I ever had while keeping my clothes on (and watching others take theirs off).
