Check out These Killer Bay Area Views From a Seaplane

Ok fine, a seaplane tour does sound just a little bit, er, touristy. But then again, you've never seen the gorgeous Golden Gate quite like this before.

Just north of the GGB, you'll find the family-owned Seaplane Adventures, founded in 1945 by Bob Law, a World War II veteran and seaplane pilot.

Five different tours—including a 60-minute Norcal coastal flight, a sunset Champagne tour (40 minutes), and shorter jaunts around the city—as well as custom charter services, may seem designed for out-of-town parents. But trust us, the experience is once in a lifetime, and the views are totally phenomenal.

Our tour of the Bay took us out and over the Golden Gate Bridge, around the city through downtown; over the Bay Bridge and around to Alcatraz and Angel Island; and eventually back to Marin with glorious Headland vistas.

Choose your day carefully as we all know our weather is fickle. Enjoy the photos!
