This weekend take an adventure north to chow down on crab, go on a sunset hike and admire Santana’s guitar. 

Crab Feed and Fundraiser 

Nothing makes for a better Saturday afternoon than an all you can eat crab fest. The annual Marin Rugby Crab Feed and Fundraiser will include the freshest crab, tasty sides, raffles and an auction for awesome prizes. The non-profit Rugby Club hopes to use the fundraiser to support their field space - used by both adult and youth ruby players – as well as create a new scholarship for underprivileged athletes. Tickets include beer, soda and water, but you can head next door to the Yacht Club if you’re looking for something a little stronger to wash down all those crustaceans. $45, $55 at the door, children under 12 are $10. 4:00 - 9:00 p.m. San Rafael Yacht Club, 200 Yacht Club Drive, San Rafael. Evening Hike on the Hoo-Koo-E-Koo Trail 

Experience a spectacular sunset during this evening hike on the Hoo-Koo-E-Koo Trail above Baltimore Canyon. Along the way you’ll learn about the plants and animals that call the area home as well as the history of the foothills of Mt. Tamalpais. The hike is about 3 miles round trip; don’t forget to bring water and snacks and dress in layers with sturdy shoes. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed. World Guitar Show 

If you love guitars or music in general, you don’t want to miss this event. Instrument experts from all over the world will convene in San Rafael along with dealers, artists, collectors, authors and celebrities for the Bay Area World Guitar Show.  The show will feature exhibits of old, rare, celebrity-owned, new and used guitars as well as amps, banjos, memorabilia and other equipment. Participants are encouraged to buy, sell, and trade or have your items appraised. Maybe you’ll even get the chance to snap a pic with one of these previous attendees: Carlos Santana, Joe Satriani, Billy Gibbons, Neil Young, Huey Lewis, John Fogerty, Axl Rose, Albert Lee and Green Day. 1/11 - 1/12, 10:00 - 5:00 p.m. $20, children under 12 free.
