"Meat Is Murder" at 330 Ritch's Thanksgiving

The title may be a bit misleading, but both vegetarians and carnivores are welcome at 330 Ritch's annual "Meat Is Murder" Thanksgiving party. The event name has less to do with animal rights and more to do with the Smiths, whose 1985 album of the same name will be played by cover group This Charming Band. (For the uninitiated, "This Charming Man" was one of the band's biggest hits.) As lovers of the Smiths, lead singer Morrissey, and all of the mopey, poppy goodness of the Britpop all-stars, we're excited to burn off some Turkey Day calories jumping around to "How Soon Is Now?" and "Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before," among other hits. DJs Aaron and Nako round out the lineup, and if your full stomach has you operating on low energy, the comfy booths in the back of 330 Ritch should be a great place to soak up the music without too much movement. Sadly, one key meat-murderer will be missing from the lineup: Little Skillet, whose lip-smacking fried chicken is usually sold in a special window in the club, will be off for the holiday. If you're still hungry after Thanksgiving dinner, though, you may have even bigger problems than the perpetually unlucky-in-love Moz.

The "Meat Is Murder" Thanksgiving party will be held Thursday, November 26th, 10 pm-2 am, at 330 Ritch, 330 Ritch St., SOMA. Tickets are $8 for attendees over 21, and $10 for those under 21. More info here.
