Mill Valley Festival to Close Tonight with Cannes Favorite 'The Artist'

By

The 34th Mill Valley Film Festival comes to a close tonight with The Artist, Michel Hazanavicius' Palme d'Or-nominated romance about a silent-movie star (Jean Dujardin, of last year's Little White Lies) whose burgeoning love affair with an up-and-coming young dancer (Bérénice Bejo) coincides with the rise of talking pictures.

Following the screening, the celebration will continue with the closing-night party at the San Rafael Community Center. With Hazanavicius on hand, those in attendance are invited to savor, indulge and unwind with the finest in gourmet cuisine and live music by daKAH, the world's first hip-hop orchestra and the subjects of the highly acclaimed new documentary Hip Hop Maestro.
