On November 10, one of the San Francisco's hottest socially-conscious young philanthropic groups, Reason to Party, staged an eye-popping, booty-shaking event in the city's SoMa District in support of The Trevor Project.
Guests at the W San Francisco enjoyed delicious complimentary beverages and cocktails from Sapporo Beer, Blue Angel Vodka, and Angels Envy Bourbon; a booming soundscape from some of the city's best DJs, including Sebastian Concha, Enso, Tamo and Hard French; special performances from the Smuin Ballet as well as local flamenco dancers; a very special live performance from celebrity guest Kwanza Jones; and intriguing visuals from local artists on display.
A special VIP-ticketed area included a reception with The Trevor Project ambassadors from San Francisco, as well as board members and staffers who provided vital info: every morning, there are LGBTQ youth who wake up feeling hopeless and like their life is not worth living. Teens and young adults are being bullied and rejected by peers and family because of their sexual orientation.
Reason to Party supported The Trevor Project's mission to restore the possibility of a full and promising life ahead for these adolescents—vital funds were raised for The Trevor Lifeline (1-866-488-7386), the nation’s only 24-hour crisis intervention and suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth.
