Oakland duo Date Palms got signed to venerable label Thrill Jockey, who plans to put out the band's third album The Dusted Sessions (a heady mix of traditional Eastern music and drone) in June. [via email PR land]
Thao & The Get Down Stay Down dropped a new acoustic track called "Kindness Be Conceived," a collaboration with psych-folk maiden Joanna Newsom. It just makes us that more excited for Thao's upcoming album, We The Common, out Feb. 5. [via The Bay Bridged]
