Goblin Cock Transcends Into Our Dimension

By

San Diego's own lords of death and destruction, Goblin Cockaccomplished exactly what they set out to do last night at The Rickshaw Stop. Donned in their traditional garb of grim reaper-esque robes and B.C. Rich guitars, skulls were abundant and the sometimes shirtless crowd got into it (although fairly tame for a metal show).

Claiming powers to transcend time and space, the smoke machine-happy crew of Lord Phallus (singer aka Pinback's Rob Crow), Bane Ass-Pounder (guitar), King Sith (bass), Braindeath (drums) and Loki Sinjuggler (keyboards) dished up some serious sludge metal all with faces concealed (with the exception of Lord Phallus' beard popping out and Braindeath's face exposed wearing a Zorro mask).

It's still unclear whether or not Goblin Cock is meant to be a joke, but it is very apparent that they are phenomenal actors. We sure as hell believed them! They tempted the crowd with a potential second encore, but we were sorely disappointed when the "techs" (aka the actual band wearing polos and trucker hats emblazoned with things like "Goblin Cock Synth Tech Nate" on them) started breaking down the equipment. A curious fan grilled the tech as to Goblin Cock's wherabouts to which "Nate" replied, "They're gone dude, they're in another dimension." Well until next time Goblin Cock, we'll see you on the other side.

Check out The Morning Benders tonight at Slim's. See you there.
