NSSN: Scene of Action Wins the Local Spot

By

Not So Silent Night is pulling out all the stops this year, appealing to every kind of listener they have. Besides the Soundcheck Holiday Ball happening at Bimbo's 365 tonight, we're most excited about tomorrow's (12/10) Pre-Party at Mezzanine featuring sets from Gossip and Passion Pit, both of which we've been huge fans as of late. Unfortunately, as of writing, every one of Live 105's various Not So Silent Night events are completely sold out. However, we have spotted some listings on Craigslist that aren't charging too much above face value, so we suggest you get on that ASAP. In other news, we're pretty excited to announce that after 116 demos, two rounds, and 10,000 unique votes from Live 105 listeners, local favorites (and a personal house favorite, we even wrote about them back in September) Scene of Action have won the local spot to open at this year's sold out Not So Silent Night happening Friday at Oracle Arena in Oakland. We're thrilled that Scene of Action is finally getting some of the attention they deserve, and to open for established acts like Vampire Weekend, Metric, Muse, 30 Seconds to Mars, and AFI is an incredible opportunity. Besides being amazing musicians, they couldn't be nicer people. We love it when that happens. No matter which event you decide to scalp and/or Craigslist tickets to, it's pretty obvious that Live 105 has put together one amazing week of music to round out our year. Now go see some shows!
