Don't miss the rare opportunity to drop in at the sprawling 550-acre McEvoy Ranch this harvest (and holiday) season. Olive oil enthusiasts will clamour at the chance to bring their home-grown olives to the ranch this Sunday, Dec. 6 for a Community Milling Day and Open House.

Get your kraut on September 9 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the “Sauerkraut Made Simple” class at the Ferry Building, taught by Kathryn Lucas, founder of Farmhouse Culture. During the two-hour, $30 class you’ll learn everything you ever wanted to know about fermented cabbage and leave with your very own starter kraut to take home. If kraut's not your thing, check out one of the other workshops during CUESA's preservation celebration: cheese making, almond and olive farm tour, canning class and more.
