Passion Pit, Pop Levi and Esser Get Their Fingers Dusty at Local SF Record Stores

By

Leave it to a group of San Francisco music fanatics to compile an impressive list of artists together for engaging, well-produced videos and a booming original series called "Dusty Fingers." Enter our latest music blog obsession, Yours Truly. It's what we like to call a perfect combination of self-produced material and breaking news of up-and-coming musicians.

The ever-popular Dusty Fingers series, so far featuring Pop Levi, Melanie Fiona, Esser, and Passion Pit, takes these big names to local SF record stores to peruse the collections, make fun of old album art, or whatever strikes the mood. It's a refreshing take on interviewing artists that is undoubtedly entertaining in every way. We look forward to the anticipated next installments in this series.

While you're already there, cherry pick through some of our other favorites on Yours Truly including this Fruit Bats video shot at a local winery (ps. the sound is incredible in this cellar!), and this absolutely astounding rendition of "Promising Actress" by the pioneer of SF indie himself, John Vanderslice and the Magik Magik Orchestra. Truly one of the most beautiful recordings we've ever seen.

Not to mention with mini-documenntaries featuring bands like Cut Copy, and small personal presentations with Loney, Dear and Local Natives, we could waste an entire day watching these dreamy performances.
