Peace, Love and Harmony, Man

If you're not so much into the free love attitude that San Francisco embodies, if you hear the word "harmony" and automatically want to leave this page, hold on just a sec. While the prime focus of this weekend's Harmony Festival in Santa Rosa does encompass art, green living, ecology and spirituality "from the roots up," there's a whole lot more going on than just that.

From Friday through Sunday, the Harmony Festival will bring together some of the area's most artistic, fun-natured and spiritual souls in a feast for the senses. Beat boxers and fire spinners will take the spotlight. Yoga novices and pros alike will lay their mats side by side and exercise their ohm. Motivational speakers will do their thing. Tribal dancers will get jiggy with it. Chefs will offer demonstrations. Crafters will...craft (and sell their products at the Global Bazaar).

And as if all that weren't enough, a host of mainstream musical talent, including Cake, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and India.Aire, are scheduled to play throughout the three-day event.

Tickets are available through the website and begin at $119 for the whole weekend (single tickets are available for certain events). The Harmony Festival takes place at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds; fest-goers can book a camping site should they want to sleep over.
