The Whole Enchihuahua 2013

Canines and their companions gathered at Dolores Park on a recent sunny day to celebrate The Whole Enchihuahua, an event to raise awareness for Chihuahuas, the breed most in need of rescue in Northern California shelters. The event featured plenty of entertainment to keep tails wagging, including:

  • Complimentary dental check with an SF SPCA Registered Veterinary Technician

  • Ask A Trainer and SF SPCA rally course: Sit. Stay. Play. Ask the SF SPCA behavior expert was on hand to teach olds dog new tricks! Dogs could also put their skills to work on a fun obedience obstacle course.

  • K9 Scrub Club took care of dirty dogs by giving them 50% off their 1st visit

  • Bespoke screen-printed t-shirts!

In addition to activities, The SF SPCA,  San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup, Muttville Senior Dog Adoption, Northern California Family Dog Rescue, Loup Garou, Save A Bunny, Wonderdog Rescue, and MickaCoo Pigeon & Dove Rescue all had adorable animals looking for loving homes.

The highlight of the afternoon was of course, the costume contest, which gave dogs a chance to hit the catwalk and compete for fabulous prizes.
