On February 3rd, San Francisco's design elite went to the dogs, packing the beautiful Galleria atrium of the San Francisco Design Center for the first annual Haute Dog SF. Legendary designer Wilkes Bashford emceed the sold-out evening, which was attended by Bay Area luminaries—including former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown—who enjoyed delicious bites, engaged with a wide array of wine sponsors, and imbibed fantastic cocktails made with Karlsson's Vodka.

The evening benefited the beloved nonprofit organization Canine Companions for Independence, which enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs, and is recognized worldwide for the quality of the matches it makes between dogs and people.

The main event featured almost 60 pooches prancing the runway, lovingly accompanied by prominent designers, artists and performers including Scot Meacham Wood, Beryl Silver, David Duncan Livingston, and jazz star Paula West. The chic canines were outfitted in fun outfits, some designed by BooBoo Boulevard, and some constructed with sumptuous textiles from the Design Center's most prominent showrooms.
