If you’re anything like me, you’re going through a little holiday season withdrawal about now—you’re back to work, the festivities have passed, decorations are starting to come down and events are a little more slow going. Luckily, 111 Minna is always hosting (holiday season or not), and on January 8, the art gallery-bar-club will put on “Love Invents Us,” an industry mixer and fashion show featuring Skunkfunk’s spring/summer 2008 collection. The Spanish clothing and accessories retailer, which just opened its first North American storefront in the Mission several months ago, will be parading its characteristically bright and bold street-wear to a presentation themed ’50s Cuban vacation. Now, if warm-weather threads and thoughts of a far-flung, tropical isle don’t get you out of that funk, I don’t know what will. 111 Minna, tickets $10, doors open at 5 p.m., show at 10 p.m.
