Republic of Fritz Hansen Opens a New Concept Store in San Francisco

Danish furniture producer Fritz Hansen is opening a concept store in Jackson Square! On December 2nd, Bay Area shoppers will finally be able to experience the company's iconic pieces in person.

Fritz Hansen, also known as Republic of Fritz Hansen, has been a leader in the production and distribution of modern furniture since 1872 with Nordic design icons such as the Egg , Swan, Series 7, and PK22 chairs. These classics—based on the original works by designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaerholm—are distributed and sold worldwide. Now, Fritz Hansen is establishing an even more direct connection with customers by opening Concept Stores in major cities around the world, including one in San Francisco.

"Fritz Hansen is thrilled to have a new home in San Francisco. The Jackson Square neighborhood was selected for its legacy as a home to San Francisco's A+D community, as well as a destination for luxury shopping," said Ulrik Thaysen, Global Director of Retail.


The Fritz Hansen San Francisco store will be open to customers and contract sales clients from Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, and Saturdays by appointment. On display will be icons from the Fritz Hansen line, from Jacobsen's dining and lounge pieces to new works by Jamie Hayon, Kasper Salto and more. Also available for purchase will be the company's line of lighting and accessories.

Fritz Hansen is one of the world's most recognizable producers of iconic furniture. The history of the company is characterized by meticulous craftsmanship, unique design and a sense of understated elegance.
