Among the many taco spots in the Mission, La Taqueria stands out from the crowd—and the constant lines show it. After you order at the front, take a seat at one of the communal wooden tables or on a pint-sized stool at one of the smaller tables. Drop a quarter into the jukebox for the full effect.
EATS:
Burritos are available, but it’s all about the art of the taco: two corn tortillas cooked on the griddle until slightly crisp, cheese oozing out of the middle and topped lickety-split with your choice of pinto beans, delicious carne asada or carnitas. Wash it all down with a house-made mango agua fresca.
