A brand new reason to come out of the woods and go shopping in Cow Hollow comes in the form of Conifer, a cozy little shop just up the hill on Webster Street from Union in the space previously home to Great Overland Books.

Earlier this month, the sole West Coast outpost from Paris-based Lilith relocated from its former location on Berkeley’s Fourth Street to Pacific Heights. We recently caught up with the shop’s longtime manager Sharon Haag to learn more about the new destination for feminine, French fashion and what’s in store for spring.

How would you describe the Lilith aesthetic?

Sophisticated whimsy.

Why should San Francisco women flock to Lilith?

Fans of local fashion take note: there’s something entirely noo happening in the Western Addition today. No, that’s not a typo. We’re referring to the opening of the Nooworks store, the first retail space from San Francisco-based designer Jennifer D’Angelo.

You may have spotted the handmade adornments from San Francisco designer Adrienne Wiley’s vintage-inspired Frolick line and local designer Liza Anongchanya’s clean, classic Ofina Jewelry at Bay Area shopping events or on celebrities such as Mariah Carey (Frolick) and Mischa Barton (Ofina).
