Say Goodbye To Carrots, And Hello To Amour Vert and Fellow Barber

Bringing you the latest in retail therapy around the Bay Area.

At an Earth Day event last night, Dogpatch-based eco brandAmour Vertannounced that its first-ever brick and mortar space will open on Hayes Street this spring. Meanwhile, French brand The Kooples will be making its US debut with a shop inside the former Clary Sage Organics space at 2241 Fillmore Street in early summer.

Need some newness to tide you over until then? Check out the revamped Fellow Barber space (formerly F.S.C. Barber), which is slated to reopen today after severing ties with its parenting company, Freemans Sporting Club. We're assuming lots of reclaimed wood and dapper gentlemen will still be aplenty.

Decor buffs should mark their calendars for May 3, when local home brand Serena & Lily opens its first Design Shop at 3457 Sacramento Street. The store will feature every single style of the label's signature bedding, wallpaper, rug, and paint collections, plus select furniture and lighting.

Also in the home category, Lombard Street store Past Perfect is opening a second, smaller location in the Upper Haight at 854 Stanyan Street. The opening party is this Saturday.

And, in sadder news, after seven years in business, iconic Jackson Heights shop Carrots is closing at the end of the month, but will celebrate its depature with a 60 percent off sale until it shuts its doors.
