Virgin Sport Half Marathon and Fitness Fair

Rumors that Virgin Sport would postpone its inaugural, weekend-long Festival of Fitness—scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday—due to poor air quality in the city seem, for now, to be untrue. Passes are still available for event, which includes a half marathon, Twin Peaks one-mile challenge, and the Go Fit Yourself fair at Civic Center Plaza with top Bay Area instructors. // ClassPass stage classes are free, passes start at $29 for the Twin Peaks Mile. Info and tickets available at us.virginsport.com.

SoCal Styling

West Hollywood–based Benjamin Salon is popping up every eight weeks at a different Bay Area salon. On Sunday, book one of their styling and coloring services (cuts start at $115) with eco-chic products at James Colgan in Union Square. Appointments can be made by emailing popup@benjaminsalon.com. // 166 Geary St #1600 (Union Square), jamescolgansf.com, benjaminsalon.com
