Shopping for a Good Cause: Fresh & Local

Shopping for a Good Cause: Fresh & Local

By

There’s no shortage of fashion events to check out this week, but one that’s at the top of our list is Fresh & Local, a shopping event tomorrow night that brings a handful of up-and-coming San Francisco designers together for a good cause with the added perk of free Champagne.

Fork over a fiver for admission, and you can feel good while you shop, as proceeds benefit Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that offers professional clothing and career development programs to those in need.

The first hour includes hosted bubbly, so you’ll probably want to ditch the whole fashionably-late routine. Instead, arrive early to scope the latest from JenDarling Bags, whose new Chelsea collection of printed garment and shoe bags will store your vintage or travel with you in style. Bow ties and men’s and women’s shirts by Cary LaScala, owner of Hayes Valley shop Cary Lane, will also be on offer, alongside eco-friendly t-shirts by Farm Fresh Co. and an assortment of jewelry from Russian Hill’s Eco Citizen boutique that includes Kris Nations and Molly M Designs, among others.

It all goes down tomorrow night at Project One.

Fresh & Local, 6-9 p.m., March 23 at Project One, 251 Rhode Island St., SF. Admission is $5.
