Please join Shotwell in welcoming accessories designer and fashion editor Zana Bayne (of garbagedress.com), who will be hosting her first-ever trunk show. Zana's recent collaboration with Pleasure Principle as well as her styling of Cole Mohr for the premier issue of Lurve magazine, have garnered Zana some much deserved praise in the fashion world. The event will feature new designs by Zana as well as her ever-popular leather harnesses.

Get your most impressive fall ensemble ready, these three parties are a must for any SF fashionista:

1. BLACK, 9/29 from 6-9 p.m.

Shotwell's back (in black) with their monthly party, promising a night of $3 wine & Svedka cocktails, beats by DJ Haute Toddy, photos by Micah Weiss and 10% off for wearing black...which shouldn't be a stretch for their impossibly hip following.

Shotwell lives and proves that even petty theft won't keep them down. After a devastating burglary in July, the store closed their doors for necessary repairs, but they're back open tonight and are throwing a bash to celebrate! Cheap cocktails, beats by DJ Superdunny and a $10 store credit for everyone who walks through the door. Need we say more?

After a burglary forced Shotwell to close up shop for repairs at the end of July, they're officially back with a vengeance today from 6-9 p.m. Peruse through their oh-so-hip merchandise from the likes of Elizabeth and James, Surface to Air, B. Son and Alex and Chloe while sipping cheap but potent cocktails, all set to the soundtrack of DJ Superdunny of Official Tourist. Be sure to assemble your most Facebook-worthy ensemble, as the lovely Parker Day will be snapping photos of the scene, and what a scene it's sure to be.

Shotwell's (Almost) Back!

A mere two weeks after owners Michael Weaver and Holly Kricher closed Shotwell's doors to move three blocks down (Vince is eventually taking over their old space), the local favorite is officially back. Though the expansive two-story space is still very much a work in progress until the official grand opening in early August, suffice it to say we still spent an hour perusing the racks and trying on everything in sight during last night's soft opening.

Stop by Shotwell tonight from 6-9 p.m. for their 'First Thursday' sample sale event which will feature LA-based Taxi CDC's refurbished vintage wears, as well as the usual suspects: (stiff) $3 cocktails, a DJ, and superb people watching.

This is a party you don't want to miss, trust us.

Though every season we vow to invest in quality over quantity, a tightened shopping budget and the desire for instant gratification always lead us back through the doors of H&M.

Luckily we now have another alternative: convertible clothing and accessories. While this idea isn’t new by any means, it’s become a full-on trend as of late and we only see it getting bigger as these tough economic times continue.
