New Holiday Flavors from Smitten

Smitten has introduced two new holiday flavors: the Chrismukkuah, a holiday mashup of ice cream with rich Valrhona fudge cookies from B. Patisserie and cinnamon walnut rugelach from Wise Sons Deli, and the Nibby Peppermint Bark, made from TCHO 60.5% dark chocolate, all-natural peppermint candies, and roasted cocoa nibs. Revisiting Bar Tartine Classics

This is chefs Nick Balla and Cortney Burns' last week at Bar Tartine before they start working full-time on their new projects Motze and Crescent. To mark the occasion, they'll be revisiting Tartine's classic hits. The special menu, largely based on Nick's childhood in Budapest, include such specialties as smoked potatoes with black garlic vinaigrette, warm kale salad with seeds and rye, beef tartare on toast, fisherman's stew, and of course, the cream and dill topped potato fry bread known as langos. // December 26-31, 561 Valencia St (Mission), bartartine.com

Holiday Drinks at Brasserie S&P

Through January 1, Financial District spot Brasserie S&P will be serving a festive selection of seasonal cocktails for guests to sip on, including the Candy Cane Crush, Nog in the Fog, Bourbon Float, and more. $1 of each cocktail sale will go to Project Open Hand, a non-profit on Polk Street that helps supply home delivered meals, groceries, and nutrition counseling to the sick and elderly. While you're there, peep the restaurant's Moet Champagne Christmas Tree, which is just as it sounds: a Christmas tree made of Moet Chandon Bottles. // Open daily, 222 Sansom St. (Financial District), loewshotels.com/regency-san-francisco/...

Rice Paper Scissors New Year's Day Brunch

Rice Paper Scissors' sixth annual New Year's Day Brunch is going down at Black Sands Brewery this year. There'll be plenty of delicious bites to help cure your hangover, including a turkey bao, breakfast banh mi, Hanoi-style beef pho, egg tart French toast, and more. And in case you want to keep the party going, there's also a special collaboration Saigon Saison beer made with three varieties of rice. // Sunday, January 1, 10am-3pm, 701 Haight St (Lower Haight), facebook.com

ABV's New Menu

ABV resident chef Collin Hilton has introduced a new menu at ABV. In keeping with ABV tradition, the menu consists of tasty snacks elevated with high technique. New to the menu is braised octopus with salsa verde and fries, Kansas City-style ribs with mezcal BBQ sauce, and "The New F**kin Burger" with 1/3 pound of grass-fed Holstein Friesian cattle, white cheddar, shredded lettuce, pickles, and a tangy special sauce. It comes with thinly sliced, spicy jalapeño chips. // Open daily, 3174 16th St. (Mission), abvsf.com
