At Autodesk Gallery's monthly Design Night parties, the irresistible combination of cocktails and learning-focused activities demystifies the magic of tech, design, and architecture, and makes it not only accessible but (dare we say?) downright friendly. At last week's "The Future of Cities" event, guests shared their ideas for their vision of #OurFutureCities with Sketchbook illustrators, got their hands dirty making seed bombs, and created Transamerica Buildings using cardboard and Autodesk's own 123D Make program.
It was a sold-out evening full of possibility and imagination as guests learned how intelligent city planning and design are (literally) changing the world. Guest speaker Dr. James Moore inspired the crowd, urging everyone to take part in sharing the views on future cities. Given that scientists project that more people will be living in cities by 2050 than inhabit the earth today, urban evolution is a concept that's relevant to everyone. From smart skyscrapers and planned green zones to tiny houses and self-driving cars, architects, urban designers, and other innovators are reimagining the shared spaces where many of us work, play, and live. // autodesk.com/gallery/design-nights
