Colorful, Clean Designs Update a 1959 San Francisco Abode

1959 San Francisco Abode

A previous victim of tight spaces and an outdated atmosphere, this three-story house underwent a design revival that hit the perfect chord of maintaining its original simplicity and reflecting the modern lifestyle of its residents.

Built in 1959, this San Francisco home was redesigned from its shingle-style, proto-modernist style to display the younger lifestyle of the owners, while keeping the original simplicity of the house intact.

By taking down constricting walls and introducing new color schemes, this San Francisco home now invites light into the spacious new rooms and fills these spaces with contemporary touches.

The exterior of the house remains true to the original design, with new contemporary twists that include a new glass fence and modern landscaping. Combined, these features hint at the new interior changes while still maintaining a quiet appearance.
