We’re all more than tired of paying a lot of rent for a little teeny area in a small corner (or basement) of San Francisco. But, a new apartment building near Nob Hill aims to change that.

Opened in June, Etta features 107 brand new studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 553 to 1,910 square feet, and it just opened its doors for leasing this month.

Etta will appeal to residents looking for more space in an urban apartment. The spaces only get better with city and bay views starting on the second floor. Other amenities include a dog run, multiple resident patios and dining areas, plus interior fitness and common areas.

The building intends to pursue LEED Gold certification with sustainable features and finishes that lessen the building’s impact on the local environment, improve indoor air quality, and can lead to lower electric bills for residents (something we city-dwellers can appreciate!). Etta takes on developer Gerding Edlen’s core principles that revolve around a commitment to place-making, community, and sustainability.

Located in the heart of downtown on the Van Ness corridor along Sutter St., Etta has easy walking access to Nob Hill and the current tech shuttle routes. Japantown is only a few blocks away and Polk Gulch, with it’s eclectic bars, shops, and dozens of awesome restaurants, is just around the corner.

According to Kelly Saito, President, “As we continue to reinforce our belief in the concept of 20-minute living and the creation of transformative buildings, Etta represents our dedication to designing thoughtful, sustainable spaces in central locations that will deliver a quality experience and elegant lifestyle for residents.”
