Get Hyped For Spring With Freda Salvador's New Collection
With these last few days feeling like spring, it's no wonder our mind has been drifting to the retail season ahead. And, no doubt about it, one of the most exciting local brands we always look to is shoe label Freda Salvador. Helmed by 7x7's 2013 Style Council members Megan Papay and Cristina Palomo-Nelson, the newest Spring '14 collection is delivering more of what we've loved from past collections.
"Our inspiration for Spring '14 was mixing very earthy/natural colors and textures with geometric lines and cut-outs," says Megan Papay. "True to our core belief, this collection is easy to wear, but the combination of textures and lines make it unique and modern."
Be on the lookout for a plethora of hill-friendly flats and slip-ons, including the See in new metallic black and silver finishes, strap-happy sandals decorated with studs and snakeskin, upgraded huaraches, open-weave loafers, and the cleaver Wit slip-on oxford in smooth suede and shiny finishes.
The infinitely wearable (and walkable) brand also evolves its best-selling Star and Dream boots this season, and there are even some (gasp) heels: Namely, the earthy Explore sandal, sexy Heart rendition, and glammed-up Moon bootie, which has already become a favorite with local bloggers.
