There's been a fair amount of coverage for this Pac Height behemoth since it was put on the market last November. Since it's currently the most expensive home for sale in SF, we decided to throw it a bone and write about it ourselves.
Located on almost 2/3rds of an acre, it has four levels and 13,500+/- square feet (that's $2,222 a foot, if you're counting). Along with everything you've come to expect from This House Cray properties (insane views, a gated entrance, library, gym, etc.), it also boasts a dramatic solarium with a koi pond, a recessed English garden courtyard with built-in seating, and a formal parterre garden with a gazebo. Not to mention a 700-sq-ft detached carriage house (aka the size of more SF-apartments).
A few downsides: the interior of the Queen-Anne home could definitely use an, err, style update. And given how long it's been on the market and how deep of pockets the current owner Doug Engmann has (he's a former chairman of the Pacific Stock Exchange), we bet the price is pretty firm.
