A Photographer Does Tomgirl Style
What are you wearing?
Equipment top, Blank NYC x Madewell jeans, Dieppa Restrepo oxfords, a gold-dipped shark's tooth necklace by Margaret Elizabeth, Kate Spade clutch and bangles, and a Friday family heirloom ring.
How would you describe your style?
Classic meets tomgirl chic. Which would mean a tomboy sensibility with a more feminine edge. I love well tailored pieces that feel almost old-world, paired with modern, feminine elements.
How would you describe San Francisco style...or is there even such a thing?
There's certainly a relaxed vibe to most SF style. I will say, San Franciscans have layering down like nobody's business.
If you had to live anywhere else, where would it be?
I could move to Paris in a heartbeat. I lived in Lyon for a time and would love to see myself back in France again at some point. Capetown also has a special place in my heart.
What are your top 5 San Francisco spots?
Snagging a spot the counter at Frances. Fried Chicken & Boiled Peanuts at Front Porch (I'm a Southern girl at heart). Sightglass coffee on 20th Street. The Hog Island Oyster Farm. And entertaining at Chez Friday.
What 3 things are you most obsessed with right now?
Root beer floats at Mr. & Mrs. Miscellaneous. The new Vacationer album. And citywide bike rides with Peter Friday.
What's up next for you? Anything exciting?
I have some fun look book shoots on the horizon and editorial projects, as well. I'm looking forward to working with an emerging swimwear line out of L.A., a local bag designer, and I have a feature for Lonny magazine coming up this summer.
