Seven Favorite Things: Half Hitch Goods

Introducing Half Hitch Goods, our new gift go-to. (And that includes gifts for ourselves.)

Peppered with locally-crafted treasures and exclusive finds, we found ourselves drawn to SF-made fine leather goods by Mat Brown, strangely beautiful rag dolls from Petaluma, and eco-luxe jewelry by SF-based designer, Julia Vasic.

Owner and curator, Carrie Caillouette, says the unique assortment is a collection of what she "determine[s] to be best in class -- and that also has heirloom significance."

Currently, the whole operation is run out of Caillouette's SF studio, where her hubby (and high-school sweetheart) steps in as photographer. This summer, Caillouette's plans to launch a mobile pop-up shop out of her VW Vanagon truck (a rare Canadian import), taking HHG across the city and beyond. Keep an eye out.
