Edo Salon and Gallery: A two-for-one color special is on at this Lower Haight salon. During November, book an appointment for a color service with a friend, and you’ll receive back-to-back treatments and only pay for one of them. Appointments for both clients must be booked at the same time under one person’s name. Intrigued? Get an introduction to the salon during a 20's-inspired cocktail party being held there tonight from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Though it might not particularly feel like ski season in SF this week, the impending ice rinks and Snowbomb Ski and Snowboard Festival have been making us dream of (not so) far away lands with four seasons and ski lodges. It's not so much the winter sports that have us wishing for snow, it's the fireplaces and hot toddies, the luxe yet cozy ensembles that come along with the lesiurely apres ski life. So here's looking at you Tahoe...
DNA (designers 'n artists) are setting up shop this Friday in Space Gallery to offer you deep discounts on fashionable finds from the likes of Catherine Fulmer, Pretty Little Thing NYC and Alyssa Bird for everyone (yes, men too!) on your holiday list. Throw free entry, happy hour specials from 5-7 p.m. and a live set from DJ Brainchild into the mix, and we think it's safe to say it'll be the most fun you've had spending money on other people. Well, and maybe you can spend a little on yourself...

We think it goes without saying that they'd also make a fail-safe gift for your favorite fashionista during the holidays.

It's almost the end of October, which can only mean one thing. No, we're not talking about partying amongst a sea of pantless Lady Gagas, we're talking mustaches. Lots and lots of mustaches. Movember gives men around the world an excuse to disregard their 5 o'clock shadow and embrace the 'stache, all for a good cause. And since we can't let men have all the fun, we've taken inspiration for this week's look from one of our favorite mustached men, Salvador Dali:
1. T by Alexander Wang Long Sleeve Stretch Dress, $90: We plan on living in this au courant dress through the winter, and recommend you do the same.
Get your most impressive fall ensemble ready, these three parties are a must for any SF fashionista:

Shotwell's back (in black) with their monthly party, promising a night of $3 wine & Svedka cocktails, beats by DJ Haute Toddy, photos by Micah Weiss and 10% off for wearing black...which shouldn't be a stretch for their impossibly hip following.
After you're sufficiently boozed up and donning your new wares, head to their official afterparty with Grow Up at 800 Larkin from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.
Big Love beauty Ginnifer Goodwin wore an eco-chic dress created by Academy of Art students to the 20th Annual Environmental Media Association Awards on October 25.
Designed by Priscilla Guimarais, Kumiko Haruyama, Nui Tanapornwattana, Audrey Wang and Tramaine Tillman, the wispy seafoam dress was made from repurposed hospital scrubs as part of their sustainable collection, 1Oak (One of a Kind).
Congrats to the Academy students on their red carpet success!
