The Cause Gallery Jewelry and Champagne Benefit

On Thursday, June 5 the Cause Gallery held a “Jewelry and Champagne” fundraiser to benefit the impoverished street children of Bali, Indonesia. The event was hosted by Christy Feaver Designs, one of the creative forces behind the Cause Gallery, and featured a display the designer's unique jewelry.

SKYY Vodka Hosts <i>SATC</i> Charity Screening

On Wednesday, May 28 SKYY Vodka hosted an advanced screening of the highly anticipated Sex and the City feature film at the Sundance Kabuki. The screening, which commenced with a VIP cocktail reception, benefited the SF AIDS Foundation and STOP AIDS Project and featured an up close and personal post-film Q&A session with actor Willie Garson.

Brand new rock n' roll-inspired Hayes Valley boutique Duke et Duchess held its grand opening party on Thursday, May 29.

Pre-opening Donor Party at the Contemporary Jewish Museum

To kick off a series of grand opening parties, the new Contemporary Jewish Museum threw a party on Wednesday, May 21 honoring the museum’s lead donors. The event, which was sponsored by Hermès, allowed guests a first-hand look at the Daniel Libeskind-designed building as well as the current exhibits.

Twiga Gallery Grand Reopening

On Thursday, May 15 the Twiga gallery celebrated the opening of its newly designed space with a party and benefit. The gallery, which features African-made art and jewelry, threw a lavish cocktail fete, which showcased the new collection of African jewelry and benefited the Mbinga Children’s Fund.

SFMOMA MAC Art Auction

On May 14th, the SF MOMA’s Modern Art Council  hosted the biennial Art Auction Fundraiser, featuring a range of art including photographs, paintings and works on paper donated by local and national galleries and acclaimed artists. The highlight of the live auction was the "Turbosphere" (2007) by Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson, whose work was the subject of a recent critically acclaimed survey. Guests enjoyed tantalizing passed hors d’ oeuvres and gourmet food stations by McCall Associates. Sponsors included Frette and Intercontinental San Francisco.

San Francisco Film Society Gala Fundraiser

On Thursday, May 1 the San Francisco Film Society honored guests Mike Leigh, Maria Bello and Robert Towne at the Gala Fundraiser for the SFFS Education Program. The Gala was part of the 51st International SF
International Film Fest and was held at the Westin St. Francis Hotel.

SF Ballet New Works Opening Gala

On Tuesday, April 22 the San Francisco Ballet kicked off the opening night of its 75th Anniversary Season’s New Works Festival with a grand soiree at the War Memorial Opera House. The black-tie event featured a cocktail reception and an elegant dinner.

To celebrate the 51st San Francisco International Film Festival Vanity Fair Magazine, Vanessa Getty and Nordstrom co-hosted a fashionable fête at Bix. The midday event featured lunch and a fashion show with models donning the latest looks from both American and European collections, courtesy of Nordstrom.
