SF Street Style: A Modern Ad Man Shows Us Four Spring Looks, in The Mission

Meet Gabriel (Gabe) Johnson, born in Spanish Harlem, raised in Boston and, as of six years ago, a proud resident of San Francisco.

Gabe works as an adman, writing slick copy for the local boutique agency, Engine Company 1. When he's not busy getting wordy, he's involved in the local art and music scenes or in the kitchen, cookin' up something tasty.

Gabe kind of does it all, and he looks damn good while doing it. From nautical stripes to frayed-edge shorts, check out what he's wearing this spring.

SF Street Style: Rockabilly Sweet at Bettie Page in the Haight

Last year, the retro rockabilly mecca, Bettie Page clothing, opened shop in the Haight. A little bird told me the girls there have some serious vintage swagger, so I thought I'd head over and check it out. I found (left to right) Jessica GossLiz IrelandMindy Gaines, and Hayley Griffin, done up in pin-up. These ladies are lucky enough to call their dress code a job perk.

SF Street Style: Sitting Pretty in a Vintage Blazer, Brooch + Knee Highs in Union Square

I spotted Severine Arend, a photographer, who lives in North Beach, sitting pretty in Union Square. I wouldn't say her outfit is earth-shattering, but her brooch did catch my eye. This photo is more about the enitre scene though--it was strange not seeing anyone moving up and down the stairs, and Severine was just sitting there--quiet and lovely.
