If you haven’t had time to make it out to the Crown Point Press at 50 exhibition at the de Young’s Anderson Gallery of Graphic Art, it’s worth a visit before the show’s close on February 17. Celebrating the press house’s 50th anniversary, dozens of prints by 15 internationally famed artists are on view, including Robert Bechtle, Wayne Theibaud, and Kiki Smith.

At their first meeting, the owners of this 1,500-square-foot flat in San Francisco made it a point to tell architect Karen Curtiss that what they wanted to do to their home didn't make financial sense. "They knew they could buy a house with the money they planned to spend on the condo," Curtiss says. "However, they didn't want to move. They love their neighbors, the coffee shop on the corner and urban life. They wanted to stay put."

In 2011, Zendesk moved into a 42,000+ square foot office on mid-Market and took over multiple floors to support their growing business. The culture is very informal and relaxed, so the space needed to be something that reflects and enables the same. The three co-founders, chief creative director, and O&A designers envisioned a humble, uncomplicated, airy, and charming space where people could breathe, thus the use of white space, high ceilings and calm colors.

You have two more weeks to catch the insatiable Eye Candy designs courtesy of Bay Area artist Charlotte Kruk. Using discarded candy wrappers and cake mix boxes, among other indulgent materials, Kruk created wearable, gluttonous sculptures influenced by a consumer’s inclination to purchase based on flashy packaging, only to discard their initial allure to garbage later.
