As anyone who’s put their locks on the line in the quest for a cheap haircut knows all too well, paying less comes with certain risks, the non-ironic mullet and the Portuguese Water Dog-inspired shag among them.
So when a new, trendy San Francisco salon offers a chance to get a haircut for about half of its stylists’ regular prices, it’s sure to, um, turn a few heads. Case in point: cuts by new graduates of the Code salon in-house education and training program. A cut and style with one of what the salon calls its New Talent Artists costs $45. Regular cuts with the new-to-SoMa destination for hair, skincare and waxing start at $70.
