On Friday at 6 pm, a gorgeous explosion of intricate costumes, music, candles, skulls and flowers will inhabit the Mission District for the annual Dia De Los Muertos procession. All of the joy and pain is offered up for those who have passed, and naturally, there are many edible and drinkable ways to pay your respects. With Halloween just around the corner, it's time to gear up for the equally spooky Día de los Muertos. In honor of the globally celebrated Mexican holiday, SOMArts Cultural Center is hosting their 13th annual Day of the Dead exhibition starting next Saturday.
