Vote Now for Your Favorite San Francisco Charity: Top 7 Finalists

It's the most wonderful time of the year—time to select San Francisco's favorite charity, as part of our annual contest. We asked readers to vote for their most beloved nonprofits, and this year's numbers were record breaking. But seven charities rose to the top. Each finalist works tirelessly to make the Bay Area a better, brighter place.

San Francisco's Favorite Charities: Send Us Your Nominations!

The holidays are creeping towards us once again (there is Halloween candy already on our desks here at 7x7), yet it seems like not so long ago when we first asked the City to rally together to name their favorite charities doing the hardest and best work for their fellow San Franciscans. This fall, we've partnered with one of the largest corporate philanthropists in the Bay Area, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), in a big way to kick off the second year of honoring your favorite charities in the spirit of the season of giving.

The SF Child Abuse Prevention Center Voted as Your Favorite Charity in SF

After nearly 27,000 votes, we're thrilled to announce that 7x7 readers voted the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center as San Francisco's favorite charity.  In addition to our $700, they received an additional contribution from Gump's as recognition for the wonderful work they're doing to protect and nurture San Francisco's children. They will also be profiled in the February issue of the magazine as "A Charity You Love."

A few weeks ago, we asked you to nominate your favorite local charities. Check out the seven you chose as your favorite in the city here, who will each be receiving a $700 gift from us.  We've also been profiling each of these on our website. Don't forget to vote for your favorite to be featured as a "Charity You Love" in our February issue!
