So what's the big deal, huh?
What's your deal? Here are ours:
Heidi Says: An Alice + Olivia trunk show takes place at this Pacific Heights go-to on Saturday and Sunday. During the event, you’ll save 10 percent on Alice + Olivia purchases and receive either a scarf or bracelet as a free gift with Alice + Olivia purchases.
Dollhouse Bettie: Need a little va-va-voom in the underwear department? Check this Haight Street lingerie boutique’s ample assortment of retro and vintage-inspired bras, panties and accessories on sale right now.
It may be c-c-cold outside, but at least these deals are hot....
Union Street Sidewalk Sale: While plenty of San Francisco streets seem to be having block-long sales (just walk Maiden Lane, and you’ll see what we mean), others are making it official. Head to Cow Hollow this weekend for a three-day sale that we hear from retailer Mabel Chong will feature just about everybody along this popular San Francisco shopping corridor. For her part, Chong will be offering 20 percent off new items and up to 70 percent off previous collections to make way for fall inventory.
One of the most common questions I get right around this time—the calm before the gala season storm—is “Where should I go shopping in San Francisco for a party dress?” And with all the back-to-back events that hit in September and October, the ladies are typically looking to avoid the horror of all fashion horrors: the dreaded McFrock that shows up all over town on every other gal the same night. Other than the usual department store suspects, where else can you shop on short notice for that next formal affair?
