The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus Celebrates Today's Supreme Court Rulings

Thirty-five years ago, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus made their public debut at Harvey Milk’s candlelight vigil on the steps of City Hall. Tonight, on the eve of the Supreme Court's rulings on same-sex marriage, the group will premiere I Am Harvey Milk at the newly-renovated Nourse Theater.

It's a big, big Gay Pride week for San Francisco, and this morning the Supreme Court unveiled their final marquee decisions of the term, dismissing Prop. 8 on standing grounds, and once and for all striking down the Defense of Marriage Act as unconstitutional.

SF's Pride weekend is one of our favorites of the whole year. With two days of over-the-top celebration, art, performances and of course the parade, we're always in awe of how colorful, diverse, and full of love our city really is. 

Look of the Week: Pride Edition

It's official, Pride is in the air. Something about the combination of giant rainbow flags waving down Market Street and the warm summer air is bringing out the best of San Franciscan's wardrobes, which has us perpetually thinking about what on earth we're going to wear to the Pride festivities this weekend. After a bit of deliberation, we opted for an outfit that's a bit more discreet than gold sequins and feather boas, yet still exudes a carefree vibrance that is the nature of such an SF institution.
